After a less-than-ideal Season 2 for Wardogs, Bulkhead Interactive is going to usher in Season 3 a lot earlier, and it kicks off on November 12.

Players can expect a new urban close-quarters map to be introduced, a new season wipe, changes to progression, and also a longer season length.

  • Three-Month Seasons: BULKHEAD is extending seasons to three months, giving players more time to progress before wipes and developers additional time to prepare updates.
  • Progression Adjustments: Progression will return closer to Season 1’s pace, following feedback that Season 2 accelerated progression too aggressively.
  • Anti-Cheat Improvements: Additional anti-cheat measures are being deployed following analysis of 187 million gameplay hours using machine learning.
  • Enforcement Actions: Permanent bans and revoked server-hosting privileges have been issued against exploiters, real-money traders, and gold-farming networks.
  • Future Anti-Cheat Measures: A player trust score and additional anti-cheat systems are planned for 2027.
  • WARDOGS 1.0: Season 3 is part of the game’s ongoing development toward version 1.0, with larger metagame changes and a new progression system planned for 2027.
RELATED Modern Warfare 4 Sees Significantly Less Console Players Than Black Ops 7 at Launch, But It Doesn't Paint the Complete Picture Since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 was released on October 23, it's been mostly met with positive reviews, though that might not have translated to sales, as here we are, now in November and Activision has yet to trumpet the game's commercial success.

In the press release sent out, studio boss Joe Brammer states, “Season 3 is about giving players a new battlefield to learn together and a progression journey worth spending time on,” and adds,” Longer seasons give everyone more room to reach their own goals, and give us the time to properly develop what comes next. We’re also taking major action against cheating. Protecting the people who play WARDOGS fairly is essential to everything we’re building.”

The studio is also adding more layers for anti-cheat after analyzing 187 million hours of gameplay with the assistance of machine learning (ie. AI), and this has translated to the devs taking action against exploiters, real-money trading and gold-farming networks, issuing permanent bans and revoking server-hosting privileges. Further anti-cheat measures, including a player trust score, are planned for 2027.
