Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have unveiled roughly 77 minutes of new gameplay footage for their upcoming tactical JRPG Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.
This footage, showcased on Nintendo Treehouse: Live, highlights the game’s windows of exploration and combat.
You can view both avenues of footage below:
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave takes place in the Dagdan Empire, where the resurrection of the demon god Balor threatens the land in 1454. The goddess Fortuna can travel through time and tasks the player with changing the fates of heroes from the past before bringing them together for a final confrontation.
Much of the story begins five years earlier during the Heroic Games in Dagsion. Four main heroes enter the competition with their own wishes, and players can progress through their individual storylines in parallel. Between matches, visiting the Pale Raven’s perch allows players to change to another hero’s storyline.
The four protagonists possess Blaze Arts, special abilities that consume HP and provide effects such as attacks or teleportation. Outside combat, players can train at the Arena Plaza, purchase equipment, earn blessings from temples, take certification exams, recruit allies, and complete requests from residents. Players can also explore the continent beyond Dagsion between matches, including towns and dungeons with materials and other rewards.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will be released for Switch 2 on September 17, 2026.
