株式会社KMS has announced its latest fast-paced battle RPG, The Alchemist Code: Portmasters, set to launch on both Android and iOS this year in Japan. A spin-off of the popular tactical RPG The Alchemist Code, the game is bringing a fresh take on the series’ strategic battles, with pre-registration now open on mobile.
A new battle awaits on the Babel Continent
So, The Alchemist Code: Portmasters takes the familiar strategic foundations of the series and turns them into faster and more accessible battles. Set on the Babel Continent, the story follows a world split into countless parallel timelines when the progenitor alchemist Nimuru attempted to create something new, with one of these timelines now facing chaos caused by warring nations, the Sacred Stones, and the threat of the Sin Beasts.
At the centre of this conflict is a visitor from another land who forms a contract with the mysterious Ouroboros, gaining the power to awaken the souls of legendary heroes from the past. That said, the game brings back familiar faces from the series, including Seda, Logi Crowley, and more, with new rarities and roles, letting you summon, awaken, unlock co-op effects, and build a team.

Get ready for fast battles with plenty of strategy
As for the combat system, it focuses on speed, with battles designed to unfold quickly while still leaving room for tactical decisions. You can use powerful skills, one-hit attacks, and cool cut-ins while trying to control the battlefield, with the vertical format also making it easier to jump into battles. That said, I wish it had a landscape option and manual combat, instead of auto battles.
For team-building, you can have five main units, two tactical units, weapons, and different tactics in each formation. So, you can experiment with buffs, debuffs, skill activation orders, and more. Overall, the game looks fun, especially with the addition of real-time Port battles, where groups of up to 10 players can join forces and compete against one another while enjoying various social features.
The Alchemist Code: Portmasters is launching on Android and iOS this year in Japan. You can now pre-register for the game via the Google Play Store or App Store. We can expect the game to release on November 6, 2026, as per the App Store’s listing.
