Tactical RPG ‘Calame’ Free Steam Demo Gets Major Update With New Panthers

NexTale has announced that the free Steam demo for its tactical RPG Calame has received a major free update. 

It introduces the Panthers through a new chapter. Their combat style emphasizes aggression and mobility. A new Camp hub becomes available between the demo’s third and fourth chapters. Players can visit a Merchant to obtain supplies and items or use the Blacksmith to upgrade weapons. 

Combat and presentation have also received several revisions based on feedback from the existing demo. Damage types are now displayed when attacks land, character abilities have new animations, and units can be deployed automatically.

The combat interface has been adjusted, while the Turn Order, Rewind, and Legend menus have received visual changes. The update additionally revises the map for readability and introduces new music and sound design.

Alongside the demo changes, the team announced that Shine Publishing and Radical Theory have joined Calame as co-publishers for its console versions.

Calame will be released for PC via Steam this Fall.
